We are situated within easy reach of some of the finest and most dramatic coastal scenery in South Devon. The new section of the South West Coast Path passes right past our front door, and you can enjoy great views of Start Bay from our patio, garden and dining room.
Our revitalised pub makes the perfect setting in which to enjoy the very best seafood that Devon has to offer. We aim high, and our culinary efforts have been recognised by several national guides, including Michelin, The Good Food Guide and Egon Ronay.

We run The Kings Arms as a family affair and customers tell us that its jolly, personable atmosphere has something of the feel of a French country restaurant – which suits us fine. There’s no standing on ceremony or stuffy formality here but bags of pride, good humour and enthusiasm. We procure the best from the region’s rich larder of local produce and our menus change with the seasons: spring brings new season’s lamb and young vegetables, summer is the time for Start Bay lobsters and crabs, and you can expect everything from mussels to local game at other times in the year. Our aim is to create vivid modern dishes with distinctive natural flavours and the minimum of needless fancywork.
